Bemisal Bihar
जहाँ हर मिट्टी में एक कहानी है
Bemisal means a thing with no equal. We took the word for Bihar, and we mean the state when we say it. We are Bemisal Bihar.
Our work is to keep the state in one voice. Food, festival, language, cloth, flood, and the ordinary evening road. हर कहानी में बिहार। If a story belongs to this mitti, it belongs with us.
People come first. The couple walking home. Tharu hands on moonj grass. Women at the ghat with sugarcane and a diya, and Sharda Sinha already playing. A Bemisal Bihar is one where every woman can live, move, and dream without fear. Safety belongs to everyone. We say that as a right, beside the people whose job it is to keep it.
Places are how we introduce ourselves. Bodh Gaya held in a kulhad. Rajgir on a torn railway ticket. Mithila, where the painting and the pond are the same picture. Patna Sahib in the history we expect our own people to know by name. The river, both as worship and as warning.
Possibilities are the names the soil has already earned. Magahi paan, Mithila makhana, Jardalu of Bhagalpur, Katarni rice, Silao khaja, Shahi litchi of Muzaffarpur, Sujini, Khatwa, Bawanbuti of Nalanda. We lay them out so a GI tag stays attached to a field and a pair of hands. Bihar ki pehchaan, hamari shaan.
Bhojpuri is a language, a heritage, and an identity. We ask which word you love and we wait, because the living word is yours. On 23 September we return to Ramdhari Singh Dinkar and the line याचना नहीं, अब रण होगा।
When the Ganga and the Kosi sit high, we print the map and the district names. Sultanganj, Kahalgaon, Patna, Bhagalpur. Celebration is part of us. So is standing in public when the house is still in the water. Discover Bihar. Discover what endures.
The day-to-day pictures go up on @bemisal.bihar. This page is the centre. Come here when you want the idea in one place. Explore. Discover. Celebrate.
